New Year's celebration last night was such a huge feast in the Philippines. Thousands of Filipino families gathered together for a lavish Media Noche. These things, however, aren't part of my vocabulary.
I received personal messages and tons of feedback thru email communications when I published the post "My Nochebuena Makes You Realize That You Are 10,000 Times Richer Than I am...". There were people criticizing my post and told me that I spoiled the joy or pleasure of others. Several messages were too rude and those people were already hitting me below the built just because I am not like them who celebrate Christmas in accordance to their belief.
Despite those insults and disrespectful comments, I still prefer not to retaliate to them. Again, not because it's New Year but simply because I don't want to waste my time arguing with those folks. Instead, I will just show another proof how a simple call center employee (like me) celebrates the holiday.
While others are quite tied up with the holiday rush, I decided to just stay at home and prepared the simplest Medianoche ever of a call center agent. Right before 12 midnight, everything was already set up on my table.
Here's the New Year 2017 meal I prepared last night. It's inexpensive and can be easily bought in a small wet market.
Though my New Year celebration is cheap and simple, I am very happy to have those on my table. I felt that I am so blessed and will be blessed in 2017.
Happy new year everyone! Wishing you all the best of luck this year!
